What is a pirate studio?
A Pirate Studio is a modern music studio, offering three types of services: recording, rehearsal and production. The studios are equipped with the latest technologies in sound recording and production, allowing musicians to create without compromise. They provide 24/7 access to their soundproofed studios that come fully equipped with all the necessary gear.
Who owns Pirate Studios?
Pirate Studios was founded by two entrepreneurs, Matt Wapping and John Marshall, in 2013 when they identified a gap in the market for affordable professional music studios. Today, Pirate Studios is owned and operated by Group PLC (formerly known as Zoopla Property Group).
How many pirate studios are there?
Currently there are over 70 Pirate Studios locations across the UK, US and Europe. They are located in major cities such as London, Manchester, Berlin and many more.
What do you need for pirate studios?
To use Pirate Studios, all you need is a valid photo ID (such as a passport or driver’s license) and your own equipment. This includes instruments, cables, headphones and microphones. You may also want to bring along an audio interface and monitors if you plan on recording music. All the other equipment is provided by the studio itself including amps, speakers and mixing desks.
